DNA Music

[ 2 ] September 9, 2012 |

The personal genomics lab 23andme, which boasts the largest DNA database in the world and featured on PBS’ special series Finding Your Roots, has recently created a new music lab that lets customers listen to their genes — literally. Mark Ackerly, who studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, developed an algorithm that converts genetic data into an unique melody. Customers can then choose musical instruments to enliven their personal melody. 23andme offers ongoing, subscription-free access to all of their services (including ancestry composition, genetic relatives, family tree, paternal lineages, and Neanderthal percentages) for $299.

  1. Creating a watch with a movement from Breitling takes some re-education often. Breitling movements for example are safer to live with replica breitling watches. Meaning that you don’t often have to worry about breaking them display operating them. They have winding limiters which make it impossible to overwind these products. Not exactly true using many Breitling movements. If you overwind them a rediculous amount of, they can break. A novice without an education through this can easily break a watch with only a couple of turns of the arm. But if you find out how to operate a movement – you need to be safe. Unlike many other Breitling exercises, the one here has a pusher privately of the case which moves the GMT surrender one hour increments – this really is good. Plus, watches with GMT subdials are really rare fake breitling watches. This one looks very good, but unfortunately doesn’t have markers for the 24 hour periods. So it is hard to study with precision. The rest of typically the dial is nicely developed, and quality is fantastic. Like watches such like a Breitling, there are cut out sections that can be recessed a bit and stuffed with lume. Breitling throws in 2 straps. The brown one you see here and a black leather strap. Price for the Breitling might be low fake omega. Really a nice price for that watch with a design like that. I like the designs of all all their pieces, and if you learn how to deal with the movement, this isn’t a bad addition to the collection.
